Nowadays, if you start talking about NFTs, you\u2019ll get a lot of backlash. They\u2019ve developed a bit of a negative reputation. But this is largely because some NFT companies are selling NFTs without really adding any value.<\/p>\n
From what we can see, it\u2019s a different story when it comes to gaming. Being able to earn and own cards, items or characters is much more tangible than just buying an image. And people understand the purpose.<\/p>\n
Has the hype died, though? Have NFTs run their course? We\u2019re not so sure. It seems to us that there\u2019s still potential. Here\u2019s what we found.<\/p>\n
Research would suggest that people aren\u2019t really looking to get an NFT these days. Security.org surveyed 1,000 people and they found that 81% of people were \u2018unlikely or extremely unlikely\u2019 to buy an NFT in the next twelve months.<\/p>\n
And that\u2019s probably because of the perception around NFTs. The same report found that 56% believe NFTs are a fad, 58% think they\u2019re a waste of money, and 71% think they\u2019re for people who just have too much money.<\/p>\n
